Ate my first Easy Mac since college today! Not yet sure if it was worth it - 9.21.2011

Bought 2 packages of cookies: Vienna Fingers taste better than they look & Chewy Chips Ahoy in the red package. Scared to try those because I fear I will eat them all. I’ll let Chris have them.

Car trouble found me, it was the thermostat-- there I was, Mrs. Preggo at the car wash filling up my coolant tank with the car wash water nozzle, bc I was desperate- no gas station in site! 9.13.2011

Dentist calling- woke up with horrible tooth pain- go figure its my upper left wisdom tooth. “If you weren’t pregnant, I would send you straight to the oral surgeon, but you are, so I will give you this mouthwash.” 9.14.2011

Every time I see a restaurant on facebook, I feel like I must eat there. Friends please quit listing restaurants on fb or this runcrazedpreggo may double in size VERY soon!

First ten mile race while preggo- truly amazing feeling crossing plus 1- I touched my tummy right before I crossed the finish and I know my baby jumped for joy right there with me!  9.18.2011

Got approved to travel by Doctor, so we will be visiting My Indiana Family in November!

Had major anxiety while the ultrasound tech was taking my measurements, she was quiet. I couldn’t see the screen so I prayed that all looked OK!  Then, what felt like 1 hour later, she said, “Please go to the restroom and release fluid-- then I will continue.” “Gee.. thanks I thought, what about the baby is all OK?”  

I was surprised that I had to change into a hospital gown for my ultrasound! Weird, but I guess necessary?

First race while preggo: 10 miles; 1:57:47, 11:47 miles

Last race while preggo? Not sure yet, we will wait for the doctors orders.

My brother in law is moving to Houston- Yay! He’ll be closer as of mid October.

November 20^th- The all women shower date, to be planned by my close friends & family

Omigod- my current waist size is 37. Can this waist thing change any more often! 9.21 2:22pm

Pimples have begun to take charge of my face and Chris your cure (Stridex) is no longer working!

Quickly realized that my tummy is expanding, but its weird, because the measurements don't match

Running still excites me, but I may be told to stop in less than three weeks..

Ten miles seems much easier to run than two miles.

Ultrasound appointment went very well, it was great to see our baby moving on the screen, especially because I haven’t felt the movements, but soon.. can't wait..  

Very shocked, latest weight gain, 6lbs, and I was even wearing flip flops. 9.9.2011

We finished watching the entire season of Prison Break, what am I going to do with myself!

X-rays are mean, I didn’t really need to see that my wisdom tooth is clearly blocked from coming in, it only made it hurt more.

Yesterday I did 2 miles, and it felt like I was doing twenty. I was walking for pizza! I would only let myself eat Little Caesars if I walked!  9.20.11

Zumba was actually really fun yesterday. I was finally in the jumping twisting mood. 9.21.2011

Third doctors’ appointment done. We heard the heart beat and this time Chris recorded it!

1^st Sonogram scheduled for tomorrow, Friday ( 17 weeks)..we are debating finding out. I think we will; but its’ cool to wonder too! We shall see if EliMarLincoln cooperates.

I’ve gained a total of 6lbs since my last appointment on August 8^th.  10.5 total at exactly 16 weeks. Doctor said I may need to watch my calories more, since I’m not exercising  as much. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I AM TOLD TO STOP RUNNING?! Let’s leave that discussion for a later date.

I've decided to give up cinnamon rolls. The latest bash did not have enough icing to satisfy me, so I'm convinced its a sign- my addiction to them has ended. I will throw the remaining 8 in the trashcan effective immediately.

I had another runcrazedpreggo moment, so I decided to measure my waist and compare it to Chris’ measurements- he’s larger.  (at least for the time being)!

Quite unpredictable. However, I read you can lose weight during pregnancy and its normal? Don’t worry I’m not going to try to lose weight- for now I’m only throwing away the cinnamon rolls-- all else will remain in pantry.

We traveled to Houston this weekend for the Purdue/ Rice football game. I kicked up my feet and relaxed at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Houston roof top pool. And, I submerged myself in the many fluffy pillows on the comfy beds for two nights! What a nice treat.

Purdue lost in a nail biting, record heat game! I’m usually up for baking in the sun & watching great football; but this time I chose to hide under the shade with other expecting mothers and small children.  I wanted Chris to stay at our awesome 50 yard line, 15^th row seats, but he chose to hang with me in the shade.  (our seats were still great!)

We were wimps and only ran 2.5 miles on Saturday through downtown and Uptown Houston. We chose to make a sneak appearance at Houston’s version of Breakfast Club instead of rack up the mileage! Breakfast club is a Purdue tradition where college students get up at dawn, go to a local bar, dress up in Halloween costumes and get completely wasted on home game days. If it were other circumstances, I would have been right there with them, but instead I chose to continue my run and enjoy a nice breakfast with my husband.  

We also went to a meet and greet event at Sherlocks Pub. There was a live band. I passed on teh Blue Moon and made it a water and lemon night and watched the band and empty dance floor! It made me realize- its midnight and no one is dancing? Mind you- the song they were playing was “last dance with Mary Jane”-- but if I didn’t have a 38 inch waist staring at me I would have found a way to make the song danceable!

PS- Update:  Since I ran so little on Saturday- I made up with signing up for a 10 miler race this Sunday, doing a 4 mile run on Monday - first time ever without wearing the heart rate monitor, followed by another 4 mile run yesterday. Lets see how I do on Sunday.. Cheer for me!

The Crime Scene and Prison Break

Lets' see- I survived tailgaiting at the first UTSA football game and yet another 10 mile run this last Saturday, 09-03-2011. My miles were a tad bit better than last week, 13:11 pace.
Running along the ravine in Alamo Heights/ Olmos Park, I noticed two parked police cars. Then I look further and there it was- an abandoned car in the lonely ravine. Well-- at least I think it was abandoned! I did not stay around long enough to find out. I decided to let the police do their jobs.

Undeniably I was in a crime scene from a movie, I the innocent jogger/ passer by-- watching the police men walk down the ravine to inspect the car, and all of sudden a "crazy" comes out with a gun telling everyone not to move.. Gosh- the many scenarios, stories, thoughts, dreams, ambitions that go through ones mind while running!  Perhaps I should choose a different sport?

Now for the baby- doing fine, I suppose- no crazy spells. I just wish I had someway of knowing each and everyday that all is OK inside me, I guess I just want to make sure everything is perfect. Again, just worried as always!

We have chatted about names a bit- if a girl- our minds are made up- Elisabeth Marjorie- Eli Mar for short. I love "Eli Mar". My grandmothers name is Elisa and Chris' grandmothers' name was Marjorie.



Lincoln Burrows

 Lincoln Joseph for a boy. Linc or LJ for short. Chris thought of the Lincoln name, a result of our most recent netflicks obsession, the "Prison Break" series.  Don't be alarmed Lincoln Burrows is the lead character, and yes, he was in prison on death row, but he was released and later proven innocent- so he is a good guy!  And- Joseph is Chris' middle name. Check out Lincoln on the left.

I think I've gained more weight in the last week than I have in the first 14 weeks of the pregnancy. I am 15 weeks now, will be 16 weeks on Friday, September 9th- same day as my next doctors appointment. Hopefully this appointment we will find out just exactly how much weight I gained, when I get my first sonogram, if I can travel to Ft. Wayne over Thanksgiving, and her thoughts on me run/walking the half marathon in November. Or, I may wait to ask about the marathon, because if she says "no" then I can be pouty for a shorter amount of time.
